A new Three-month ‘Fells for All’ Festival is launching during May, June and July 2024. The aim of the festival is to help unlock access to Cumbria’s outdoor spaces and give people the support and confidence they might need to get out in Cumbria’s great outdoors. Scroll down the page to find a list of events that are ideal for those with more specific requirements, but there are other outdoor events happening during the festival that might also be suitable for you.
The festival ties in with the 100 year anniversary of the first public gathering on Great Gable, to celebrate 12 Cumbrian peaks being gifted to the National Trust by the Fell and Rock Climbing Club of the English Lake District. Hence the name “Fells for All”. The festival is held in association with the Accessible Cumbria Partnership.
If you are looking to stay in the area for the festival then you can search for accommodation below, use the tick box to easily find access statements. For more general information to help you plan your trip visit our access for all pages.
If you’re running an event suitable for those with additional access needs between May and July 2024, you can add it to the festival line up via our free events listings (choose event category “Fells for All”. Any business submitting events, activities or trail routes will need an access statement; email campaigns@cumbriatourism.org for details).
