For many, one of the main questions when choosing holiday accommodation is ‘Do they have a pool?’
In the Lake District, Cumbria, pool lovers will be delighted to hear there is a huge selection of places to choose from that come equipped with a swimming pool. They come in all shapes and sizes – large ones to swim lengths, petite ones perfect for a dip or infinity pools with a view of the lake.
If you are taking the family to one of our many holiday parks, most offer indoor and outdoor pools. Let the kids have a good splash around whilst you read your book floating on a lilo – unless, of course, they decide to push you in!
We have a range of spa hotels where a swimming pool is standard alongside steam rooms, saunas and luxurious hot tubs. Go on treat yourself, there is no better way to relax.
A dip in the pool can be the perfect tonic for those tired feet after a long day walking the fells. Many of the hotels in the Lake District, Cumbria are equipped with a swimming pool whether it be indoor or a heated open-air pool. You can’t beat the feeling of relaxing in an infinity pool, especially on a cold winter’s day, admiring the Lakeland views through the steam rising from the warm water.
You may not even fancy a dip. Sitting beside the pool with a good book in one hand and G&T in the other is the perfect way to while away an afternoon. You are on holiday after all.
Its not just hotels and campsites that have pools, we have a growing number of boutique B&Bs and self-catering cottages with swimming pools, so you can swim away in absolute privacy.
If enjoying a dip is an essential part of your holiday then there is no end of choice in the Lake District, Cumbria. Just don’t forget to pack your swimming costume.
