Mark the summer solstice with firelight folktales and live music woven together to celebrate Cumbria's heritage of rich biodiversity.
Come together for an uplifting evening honouring our natural history and celebrating the hope of humanity finding better ways to co-exist with the wild, the natural and the magical in our world and in ourselves.
Mark the summer solstice with firelight folktales from storyteller Jessie McMeekin celebrating Cumbria's heritage of rich biodiversity - the last wolf, the last wild boar, the last golden eagle – woven with their magical musical counterparts, performed live by talented Cumbrian singer-songwriters J P Worsfold and Anne-Marie Sanderson.
If weather allows, we plan to follow the performance with some campfire singing in the woods, (200m from the Footprint building up an unsurfaced woodland path including steps and tree-roots), so bring your voice and an instrument to sing in the solstice together.
