Catch the train to Silverdale Station and you can walk from there to the clearly signposted RSPB reserve Leighton Moss.
Leighton Moss is a great place to get out in nature, with the wealth of wildlife that inhabits this small corner of the coast you are sure to catch a glimpse of something exiting. Boasting the largest reed bed in the north-west, it is home to otters, marsh harriers, red deer and the ever-illusive Bittern.
Children can enjoy the many themed, pushchair-friendly trails and a visit to The Holt where you will find interactive display panels and activities for the children of all ages.

You can take a walk along our nature trails, look around our superb RSPB gift shop and enjoy a home-made meal in our award-winning cafe. Try our tempting selection of exclusive hand finished cakes with a pot of refreshing Fairtrade tea or coffee.
