Newby Bridge

The Lakes Aquarium allows you to visit creatures from the lakes of the world along with those a little closer to home too. From otters and diving ducks to marmoset monkeys and British sharks and rays.



This has something for everyone. The Farm Park has lots of friendly farm animals in 16 paddocks, large Playbarn with huge indoor play area and more; a Cumbrian Craft Barn and Tearoom.

A traditional Lake District working farm, using Shire horses and vintage machinery including steam to actively farm. We produce beef and dairy products from Jersey cows. We also produce veg and other products for our farm shop.

Bring your wellies and stroll the free 1.75 mile farm trail through fields and woodland and past the pond, reed bed and vegetable plots. Make sure you're back in time for a big slice of cake and a pot of Lakeland leaf tea in the tea room.



Hay meadows, wet grassland, scrub, hedges, ponds and the beck provide homes for a wealth of wildlife. Although small in size, the reserve has a remarkable number of birds.



Home to one of the largest gull colonies in Europe, more than 30000 pairs. There are large numbers of breeding Eider ducks, with close views of eggs, nests and chicks from May to July.
