The Heaton Coopers are a family of artists that go back 4 generations. The studio in Grasmere, founded by William Heaton Cooper (1903-1995) in 1939.

Upfront gallery has changing exhibitions throughout the year. There is a shop selling ceramics, jewellery, cards and gifts. A restaurant serving a wide selection of vegetarian meals, snacks and home-made cakes.
