“Lovely stay ”
We had a lovely stay and the accommodation proved just what we needed for a stop on our way up to Scotland as convent location of M6 but really near Ullswater for some lovely scenery.
Details
Relax in our tastefully converted Lakeland Bank Barn and historic Gincase. Situated in the peaceful village of Catterlen, just off junction 41 M6, yet only minutes away from lake Ullswater, Keswick, Carlisle and Hadrians Wall.
Set in the beautiful Eden valley, close to medieval Hutton-in-the-Forest, easily reached from all UK major routes, making this an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District, passing to or from Scotland.
Built in the 1700's from local stone, our home has been lovingly converted in a style sympathetic to the buildings former origins, providing the holidaymaker with a unique opportunity to enjoy a luxurious country break. Stone walls, exposed beams and an open fireplace make for a warm and inviting ambience, or sit out and enjoy the view over Penrith from the patio. Breakfast is served in the Gincase/guests lounge, where you may take time to relax and enjoy your freshly prepared, locally sourced food. Altogether something rather special.
