There are over 40 sculptures scattered throughout the forest. Many of the sculptures are hidden among the trees, in a place that inspired the artist and you have to search them out. The locations are shown on a map and new sculpture guide.

Enjoy a delicious lunch in the Cafe in the Forest which offers a variety of hot and cold food and snacks, including children's meals. Alternatively grab a takeaway from the hatch to enjoy at a picnic bench in the forest. The Cafe opening hours are 10am to 5pm (10am - 4pm winter) and can be contacted on 01229 860455.

Enjoy the fantastic adventure playground next to the Visitor Centre and look out for the many exhibitions and activities over at The Yan. For "big kids" Go Ape offers a more extreme adventure (book in advance online). Or rent some bikes from Grizedale Mountain Bikes and take to the trails.

Once the kids have burned off their energy hop back on the X30 bus at 15:00 for a seamless journey back by bus and baot, to arrive back in Bowness-on-Windermere at 15:55.
