Blea Tarn, Little Langdale by Mike Smith

Blea Tarn, Little Langdale
by Mike Smith

Mike says "I lived in the Lakes between 1977 and 1991 and nothing epitomises the majesty of the Lakes more than early morning at Blea Tarn when you have the whole place to yourself. Peace and solitude in what can be a very busy area at the height of the season. Rain or shine this view never fails to take my breath away."

Gillian says "We had a lovely holiday staying near Ullswater with beautiful autumn colour which is reflected in this pic and also feel Glenridding needs some positive publicity (showing how beautiful it is) after the floods they have endured there a while back."

Loweswater by Roz Gray

Loweswater
by Roz Gray

Roz says "My parents honeymooned in The Lake District in 1964. We had many happy family holidays there over the years. Sadly I've lost both Mum and Dad so for my 50th birthday last year, my husband arranged for us to stay at the same hotel my parents stayed in in 1964 (The Fish at Buttermere). We also got to visit Loweswater for the first time. It was my Mums favourite Lake as she said it was so serene and peaceful. We fell in love with it too and I think this picture captures it's peace and beauty!!"

NOW IT'S TIME TO VOTE!
