Ashness Jetty, Derwentwater
by Ben Hutchinson

Ben says "This photo is taken of Ashness Jetty on the shores of Derwentwater.
My grandfather was evacuated to the Lake District during the war and our family frequently visit the Lakes.

This photo is special to me for a number of reasons. I remember being child and jumping off this jetty with my father. I have also climbed some of the surrounding fells.

For this photo I wanted to showcase the beauty of the landscape. The wispy cloud formation just hovering above the sun as it descended just brings the true magic of the Lakes to life."
