Low Branthwaites

Low Branthwaites

Low Branthwaites

Nestled on the sloping fellside within Garsdale valley, Low Branthwaites is a place of dreamy tranquillity. Stunning views, surrounding nature and welcoming and cosy interiors will provide the perfect backdrop to your holiday.

A private, comfortable and stylish split level Bed & Breakfast apartment with 2 double bedrooms in a 17th century farmhouse, set on the hillside opposite the Howgill Fells, with 14 acres of private land and breathtaking views. A beautiful, double height lounge with open fire combines the comforts of a B&B with a total privacy and space for you to relax, perfect for a family holiday or group of friends.

We are in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with the Lake District only a short drive away. Waterfalls, caves and spectacular hiking and cycling trails are all on our doorstep. We are surrounded by 14 acres of private land climbing all the way to the fells for you to explore, relax and picnic on accompanied by sheep, pheasants and rabbits. Our guests have the use of the garden with seating and BBQ area.

We are just outside of Sedbergh, a lovely old market town at the foot of the Howgill Fells, with a great selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants in town.

Our traditional 17th century dales Farmhouse hides a stylish yet comfortable and welcoming interior. The split level apartment in a converted barn includes two double bedrooms equipped with high quality beds and mattresses with duck feather and down toppers and duvets and pure wool blankets, a private bathroom and high spec shower room and a stunning, double high lounge with an open fire and uninterrupted views across the valley.

There is also a kitchenette with a kettle, microwave, hob, small fridge and a selection of tableware.

Continental breakfast staples such as granola, toast, jams and honey, milk and yogurt are included and will be waiting for you in your apartment, where you can enjoy them in the morning in complete privacy, looking out over the fells.

You can also order cooked breakfast (with additional charge) to be served in your lounge as well as antipasti boards and snacks served to your room for those evenings when you just don't feel like leaving the sofa.

The type of access to the property (uneven track and steps) and the layout mean that it is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. We are hoping to be adding another room, with a much better access by Summer 2019.
