A beautiful and stylish approach to bed and breakfast accommodation, right on the edge of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National parks and with stunning views across the Kent Estuary. Number 43 opened in early 2008 and we have been delighted to pick up a number of awards and accolades in such a short time. We are now recognised as Extra Special in the 2019 Michelin Guide.
We have also achieved 5 star status from Visit England along with a Gold Award for our outstanding levels of quality and customer service.
In an ever time pressed world, we know that your holidays, short breaks and weekend breaks are precious. So, from the moment you arrive at Number 43, you can sit back, relax and we will make sure that every moment of your time with us is special.
Breakfast is fresh, local tasty and has been awarded a Visit England Breakfast Award which is a compliment to our suppliers as well as our chef!
The terrace:
The terrace is a photographer´s and artists dream and is a popular place for guests to relax and while away the hours with a bottle of wine and a sharing platter – or even to enjoy breakfast with only the local wildlife for company.
The lounge:
Designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, our lounge is bright, airy and spacious. In the mornings we welcome guests to come and relax in the window seats and people watch until your heart´s content with a freshly brewed coffee or curl up on the comfy sofa with a glossy magazine or one of the books from our collection. (In the evenings it is Lesley’s private sanctuary!!)
Our wall is adorned with some fantastic local artwork that we'll even let you buy to take home with you as a reminder of your time in Arnside and we leave our CD collection at your disposal if you want to borrow some for your room) . And the honesty bar in the dining room next door complementing your bedroom mini bar means that you have no excuse for ever letting your glass run low!
