LATE NIGHT OPENING AND CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH-ON HAWKSHEAD

Saturday 30th November

Hawkshead village celebrates the light switch on with a lantern parade led by Father Christmas and Bay Beat Band, with the shops staying open until 8:30pm for late night shopping.

CHRISTMAS CRAFTS MARKET KENDAL

Kirkby Lonsdale Christmas

TASTE CUMBRIA CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL, Cockermouth

7th - 8th December


A foodie heaven, from mulled wine and mince pies, to festive fizz and fancy cakes, all the flavours of the season will be on offer. There will be a giant producers’ market with 60 stalls, a hot food court with meals and snacks, and a bar packed with ales and fizz. There will also be plenty of family activities and festive entertainment, with a fairground and Christmassy arts and crafts.

ASKHAM HALL, near Penrith

8th December


Visitors to the 12 acre gardens on the North East fringe of the Lake District National Park can enjoy live festive music and an expanded variety of food and drink, alongside an array of local festive crafts and giftware ranging from candles and ceramics to handmade cushions, fragrances and wreaths. The festivities will spread across Askham’s Medieval Hall, ‘Party Barn’, rustic courtyard and Father Christmas’ Grotto.

HAWKSHEAD CHRISTMAS FAIR

Saturday 7th - Sunday 8th December, 10:00-17:00


Hawkshead, one of the most picturesque villages in the Lake District is a wonderful place to start the festive season. The village square and streets are lined with over 50 outdoor stalls and 30 indoor stalls in the Market Hall and Park House buildings The Christmas lantern parade begins at 4.30pm on the Saturday 7 December. It is open to everyone, bring your own homemade lantern to take part.

Hawkshead Christmas Fair

STICKLEBARN WINTER MARKET

Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December, 11:00-17:30

Get into the festive spirit at National Trust’s Sticklebarn in Langdale. Baker Kelly will be whipping up delicious Christmas bakes and there will be mulled cider on offer. The pub will be packed with stalls selling everything from festive crafts to tasty treats.

WINDERMERE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Windermere Christmas Celebration (formerly known as Windermere Christmas Market) is an exciting family friendly event on the streets of Windermere each Winter, with over forty local produce stalls with a Christmas twist, the Mountain Goat Santa’s Grotto, Brass Band and Choirs.
