Rated as 5 out of 5

    “Very Good”

Friendly and low key welcome on arrival.
Offered tea on the terrace and assistance with bags.
Room large, modern and airy with super king bed.
Good central location with quiet secluded garden terrace.
The indoor pool, jacquizi and sauna are a great bonus. Not that common in B&Bs I think.
We were in the extension, but the main, public rooms retain the ambiance of the victorian vicarage. Nice
    Breakfast was the usual 'english'
In all we enjoyed our sta and was a good base to explore Lake District

    Details

A charming Victorian house, carefully converted and quietly tucked away in own wooded grounds in central Ambleside. Formerly used as the vicarage for the parish of St Mary's, it overlooks Rothay Park and is tucked away from traffic noise. There is ample free car parking within the grounds. Ideal base for exploring the surrounding fells or boating on lovely lakes. Fishing, riding, golfing and sailing are just a few of the facilities available nearby. There is a spacious and comfortable lounge available for guests' use and a small snooker table. We have our own heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, sun lounge and roof top terrace.
