Family activities

There are loads of activities in the Lake District and Cumbria that are sure to keep the whole family happy. Whatever the age, there are attractions and activities that will suit.

A trip to the World of Beatrix Potter attraction at Bowness, or the new Children's Chocolate Factory at Hawkshead is great  for kids of any age.

Adventurous older kids amongst us will love a quad biking, Go-karting or Segway experience. If you're seeking adventurous thrills, how about Go-Ape in Grizedale Forest and Whinlatter, and Infinity Bridge at Honister Slate Mine.

For the less sunny days, there are lots of indoor activities to keep the family happy, including swimming pools, museums, theatres and art galleries.
