Saturday Art Club

Saturday Art Club

Reviews

    Details

Bring art to life – create your own artwork inspired by the exhibitions.

Taking place within the galleries themselves on the first Saturday of every month, the ‘Family Art Fun’ workshops are a range of exciting activities for families to engage with, through hands on making and accessible discussions. The sessions will enliven the temporary exhibitions and enrich the understanding of exhibits.

Children will be encouraged to explore the artworks as physical objects, inviting them to consider how the artist achieved various effects. Participants will draw on their own thoughts and experiences of mountains, landscape and popular culture, enabling them to create personal responses to the exhibitions.

The workshops will cater to a variety of age ranges and abilities, designed to appeal to the whole family. Entrance for children is free with adult admission.

    - Drop-in sessions between 10.30 - 1.30pm
    - Suitable for 3 years and up
    - Children must be accompanied
