Briery Wood is within easy reach of the popular villages of Ambleside, Bowness and Windermere, so it's a great base for exploring the Lake District, whether you are looking for a spot of retail therapy or outdoor adventure.

From the M6
Leave the M6 at junction 36 and follow the A591, signposted initially to Kendal.
Keep following the A591 past Kendal, through Ings Village (watch out for the speed cameras in the 40 limit!)
At the mini-roundabout on the edge of Windermere, keep going ahead and follow signs for Ambleside. Approx 2 miles further on,
after passing Brockhole Visitor Centre on the left, and our sister hotel Merewood on the right, you will see our driveway entrance
on the right as you enter the next 30mph speed limit.
From Keswick and the North Lakes
Take the A591 south through the Lakes. Pass through Ambleside as if heading for Windermere. Approx 1.5 miles after you leave Ambleside
you will pass Holbeck Lane to the left, and the Lansdale Chase to the right. Continue on the another 400 yards and when the road curves round to the right,
you will find our driveway entrance on the left. Be careful it is quite a sharp left turn into the driveway.
