Grimethorpe Colliery Band

Formed in 1917 during the First World War, Grimethorpe Colliery Band is a British institution, with concert performances ranging from the BBC Proms to the opening of London's 2012 Olympic Games.

Performing a wide variety of favourite classics, including the brilliant arrangement of the Adagio from Rodrigo's Concierto de'Aranjuez - used to such great effect in Brassed Off - join us for an unforgettable evening of outstanding musicianship.

On entering Ulverston from the A590, drive straight on past Booths supermarket on your left and through a set of pelican traffic lights. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit onto Brewery Street. Turn left into the Brewery Street car park. Walk up Market Street and turn left up Brogden Street. At the top of the street turn right and then first left, and the Coronation Hall is situated behind the statue of Laurel and Hardy on County Square.

Less than a mile from Ulverston Station.
