Going Going

Going Going

by Judith Bromley

Jon C. Lovett, Chair of Global Challenges at Leeds University, offers a 40 minute lecture followed by questions and conversation in the conference room. In 1966 the Quaker Kenneth E Boulding published his influential essay contrasting 'cowboy' economics with 'spaceman' economics, and this essay is now required reading for courses on environmental economics. The talk will discuss the importance of Boulding's essay and provide a background to his life and Quaker faith.

This event is part of 'Seeking Routes', Swarthmoor Hall's summer arts exhibitions, organised in collaboration with Quaker Arts Network.
