Farfield Mill Arts & Heritage Centre

Farfield Mill Arts & Heritage Centre

Details

All our exhibition spaces show a changing programme of exhibitions, both touring and curated by the Mill's exhibition staff or invited artists.
Both the Howgill Gallery and the Dover Gallery show a full season of regularly changing exhibitions throughout the year, featuring high-profile artists and groups from across the region and the country. In the Howgill Gallery, the emphasis is on textiles (although not exclusively), and we aim to show work by those at the forefront of contemporary practice as well as offer a platform for the best in the North West.
The Dover Gallery leans more towards showing local and regional artists. Additionally, there are exhibitions curated by our own Farfield Resident Artists - usually, but not always, featuring their own work. We also show work by talented emerging artists in the applied arts field, including textiles, and you may sometimes discover work by undergraduate or MA students from our regional universities.
Additionally, selected artwork from a range of artists working in a range of mediums is displayed in a number of informal exhibition spaces across the Centre, including 2K, next to the Dover Gallery on Level 2, The Stairwell at the heart of the Mill, and the Loft Gallery on Level 4.
