Summer Fete

Summer Fete

Details

Askham Hall will play host to a seven-hour family extravaganza this Fathers’ Day, Sunday 16 June, with the return of its colourful summer fête.

The event runs 11am- 6pm with live music and traditional garden games, including giant jenga and a coconut shy. There will also be archery, animal trails, a treasure hunt and even gardening workshops for the more green-fingered.

A line-up of local musicians will be entertaining visitors in the 12-acre gardens, including; acoustic folk singer Rachel Kraft, guitar vocalist Carl Hull and the lead singer of Carlisle band ‘Highly Strung’ Andy Whittaker. Penrith Town Band will also be performing throughout the day.

A variety of stalls will include local produce, crafts, seasonal gifts and plants. The Kitchen Garden café will be open for lunch, including Askham’s famous wood-fired pizzas, which use seasonal ingredients direct from the gardens outside. Barbeque and beer will be available in the courtyard.
