You are welcome to visit us at the Cycle Cafe Tea Garden - however please remember it is a seasonal Tea Garden with limited opening hours to the general public who are not travelling by bicycle.
The Cycle Cafe Tea Garden is open to everyone on Fridays 12am to 6pm, Saturdays and Sundays 10am to 6pm in June July and August each year. We have no parking as such on site so ask those arriving by car to please take the 350yd 8 min walk from the village car park. Our limited driveway is reserved for workshop attendees with limited mobility or cycle support vehicles. Thank you.
If you're passing on your bicycle, perhaps on the C2C or E2E during June July or August we can offer tea, coffee and cake and perhaps a light lunch everyday 10 til 6pm. In the event we are not able to serve you, the cyclists barn will be open for you to use for drinks and cake. This facility is limited to those passing cyclists on bikes.
A lovely walled tea garden to the front and back of our 17th century Cumbrian home providing a tranquil spot in which to relax, read the papers and let the world pass you by. Perfect for children and families, plenty of space and often friendly cats are in evidence, on which to heap attention.
We enjoy unique views over the estate grounds towards Greystoke Castle. In the mornings strings of local racehorses file back and forth on their way to the gallops on the Greystoke Estate.
We serve teas, fresh coffees, light lunches, toasties, home-made soups, Aga-baked cakes and real cream teas. Also Hedgerow home-made cordials and we use our own organics from our poly-tunnel and veggie patch wherever possible.
Catering for the cyclists with large mugs of tea and coffee, cakes, free drinks bottle refills and a dry barn to sit in on the wet or windy days, complete with towels for drying and blankets to keep bare legs warm !
