Cycle Route

Using the bike bus means you can do this linear ride which will take you the full length of Windermere, starting from the Lakeland Motor Museum at Backbarrow and following minor roads past Stott Park Bobbin Mill, Graythwaite Hall and Beatrix Potter's former cottage Hill Top, before heading to the shores of Windermere at Ferry House (possible 'escape route' via the Windermere car ferry back to Bowness). From here you can enjoy the peaceful west shore of Windermere from the newly improved cycle route that will take you to Wray Castle, then follow the signed cycle route (due to open July 2013, follow signs on the ground) into Ambleside
