If the idea of being able to park the car for a week and having everything you need on the doorstep appeals then this is the ideal cottage for you. Keswick offers a great selection of places to eat and drink all within a few minutes' walk along with a great selection of local shops and of course the popular twice weekly award winning market.

The shores of Derwentwater are just five minutes stroll away and there is a fantastic selection of walks to choose from including gentle walks along the lake shore, walks to popular Ashness Bridge and Surprise view or the nearby Castlerigg Stone Circle or those seeking out the high fells will head to the summit of Latrigg and Skiddaw that dominate the towns skyline and mountain bikers will enjoy the award winning Altura Trails in Whinlatter Forest

Lillibet Cottage is presented with its lounge and dining room on the ground floor, traditional slate steps wind down to kitchen on the lower ground floor. With two bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room, and a family bathroom on the first floor and the third bedroom on the top floor the property offers ample space for family or friends to relax and enjoy a great holiday whatever the time of year.

Accommodation in detail

Lillibet Cottage is located on a small side street close to the market square. From the front porch the ground floor offers a cosy lounge with comfortable leather sofas and armchairs, a Smart TV, an electric fire. A separate dining room, again with electric fire, is the ideal place to gather for dinner in the evening. Traditional slate steps wind down to the kitchen on the lower ground floor which includes fitted units, a range cooker with gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, family breakfast table, cosy living flame gas stove, washing machine and tumble drier.

On the first floor there are two of the three bedrooms, the first is a welcoming king size double with TV and ensuite shower room with basin and WC, the second is a pretty single bedroom and also on the first floor is the family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Steep steps lead to the top floor where, in the eaves of the cottage, is a spacious double bedroom with sitting area and TV and the view from the velux windows looks across the roof tops with views to Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite

Outside there is private parking for two medium size cars.

Keswick is one of the Lake District's most popular destinations. This friendly town hosts the very popular twice weekly market that has recently won the coveted ?Best Outdoor Market? in the Great British Market Awards. The village also offers a fantastic array of shops offering everything from craft bakeries and local produce, antiques, crafts and much, much more.

If you are looking for somewhere to eat and drink, a week just won't be long enough to sample the great range of pubs, restaurants, bistros, cafes and wine bars! For a great evening out why not visit the 100 year old Alhambra offering first class cinema entertainment in traditional surroundings or enjoy an evening at ?the most beautiful and friendly theatre in Britain?, the 400 seat Theatre By The Lake on the shores of Derwentwater.

Enjoy a cruise on Derwentwater, walk onto the fells; Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Coledale Horeshoe and Blencathra are all nearby, head underground at Honister Slate Mines, enjoy mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest.

For day trips throughout the Lake District, Ullswater is a short drive away offering lake cruises, great walking and the beautiful Aira Force Waterfall, Buttermere and Crummock Water offer sublime scenery. Ashness Bridge and Surprise View situated above the Borrowdale Valley should not be missed and perhaps even a cup of tea and homemade cake in the unspoilt village of Watendlath.
