Just a few minutes walk from the town centre in a lovely location beside the river Greta with glorious open views towards Skiddaw and Latrigg, this award-winning attraction offers fascinating changing exhibitions.

Within the Main Gallery, a wide range of objects from the permanent collection can be found, telling the story of Keswick in a 100 Curious Objects. Highlights include an opportunity to play the Musical Stones of Skiddaw and to see examples of decorative metalwork from Keswick School of Industrial Arts. The Temporary Gallery focuses on topics relating to Keswick and the Lake District.

It’s a great day out for families as the ticket includes trails, explorer packs and activities to help you enjoy our amazing eclectic collection.

Located in the Museum is the West Cafe with outdoor seating available, overlooking Fitz Park and the children play area.
