Details

At Cyclewise we have some of the most highly qualified and experienced coaches in the UK working with us. They are very passionate about the sport of mountain biking and how they can help you to improve your riding so that you get the most out of your time on the bike.
Using video feedback and analysis, we will teach you to skim the rough stuff, ride drops like they don't exist, rail berms and clear obstacles using our purpose-built coaching trail. During the course we will take you on some great routes where you will be able to use your newly acquired skills.

So what are the Intermediate Skills?
Bunny Hops - The ability to hop the bike over an obstacle in a controlled manner.
Step Overs - The ability to independently lift each wheel over an obstacle.
Step Ups - The ability to ride along and step the bike up on to a section of trail.
Drop Offs - The ability to ride of a small drop in a controlled manner using body position.

All these skills are extremely useful on both man-made and natural trails. Wherever you tend to ride, you will instantly see the difference these techniques make to your riding and the things you can attempt while out on the trail. Where necessary we will use video feedback so you can admire yourself when you nail the best drop off or bunny hop of your life! This course will take you out of your comfort zone and beyond, giving you the confidence and ability to attempt moves and terrain you would never have attempted before.

Revision of Core Skills: - Weight shift and the cone of movement, track stands, manual front wheel lifts, power assisted front wheel lifts, rear wheel lifts, understanding of climbing & descending and breaking.

Intermediate Skills: - Riding a berm, picking a line, riding on technical terrain - learning these skills will allow you to ride smoothly and in control on the most tricky and technical sections of trail.

The Intermediate Skills put onto the trail: - Now you know what the Intermediate Skills are, it's time to put them on the trail. We will find the trail that's right for you and apply all your newly acquired skills. Using video feedback we will be able to coach you to the very highest standards, making sure your skills are technically correct and giving you the confidence to become the rider you want to be.

If you are unsure if this is the course for you please do not hesitate to contact us for a chat.
