Training & Learning Experience, Sat 14 Mar 2020, free entry

'Understanding the Past' is a drop-in workshop for groups and families. Together, you will excavate your very own dig box, uncover the objects and piece together the hidden story. The dig boxes cover Roman, Egyptian, Anglo-Saxon and pre-historic periods.

You will learn how archaeologists use context to understand the past and that sometimes the most valuable objects are not the ones you expect them to be.

Entry is included with your standard Museum admission.
Recommended age 5+
Under 18s must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
With thanks to Great Place: Lakes & Dales for funding the workshops.

Hosted by: Kendal Museum, Station Rd, Kendal LA9 6BT
