The aim The Moon Highgate has is to create a relaxed dining experience with no compromise on quality, be it a quick or leisurely dinner or lunch attended to by a helpful and attentive team of staff.

Head chef and owner, Leon Whitehead, has carefully created a menu which changes seasonally to make the most ofthe fiesnt ingredients accross Cumbria and the UK. Using produce such as locally sources fish and shellfish from our coastline to game, Native Breed Beef and iconic Herdwick Lamb, while the wild herbs, mushrooms and fruit from our fells, fields and woodlands show how varied our local larder is.

The A La Carte menu is available Tuesday to Saturday from 17:30 onwards.

Being directly opposite The Brewery Arts Centre makes The Moon Highgate an ideal place for a pre or post theatre/cinema dinner. A pre theatre supper menu is available Tuesday to Friday 17:30 till 18:45.

Seperate Vegan and Vegetarian menu is available all day.

Lunches are served Tuesday to Saturday.

Although we do not have a car park there are four car parks do not charge after 6pm. The Brewery Arts Centre car park is directly opposite and charges £1.20 after 6pm until 8am. There is one very low step into the restaurant which wheelchairs have had no issue getting over into the restaurant. Help is always offered if needed.
