Public House

Alexander's is a ‘regular’ for many locals and a pleasant surprise for hotel guests who want to sample the best of Cumbrian breweries and enjoy a hearty meal.

Once the old stable block, Alexander's is named after the family who founded and still own the hotel. For those who like a trip down memory lane whilst enjoying the perfect pint, the walls display a selection of images that document the hotel’s history as a private house back to 1935.

We offer all sorts of local draught beers; seasonal meals and our friendly staff create a relaxed, informal environment for you to enjoy at any time of the day.
