Spring flowers create and paint

Spring flowers create and paint

Spend a relaxing day with Greenhouse Floristry creating beautiful hand-tied flower bouquets, followed by the opportunity to paint your creations guided by artist Annie Turner. A perfect day for those with little or no experience looking for an introduction into flowers.

What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?

In the morning you’ll be guided through the techniques to create two different styles, a signature classic and our more natural style feature bouquet. The day will start with an introduction on how to condition your seasonal blooms and foliage after which you’ll be guided through the creation of both styles. We’ll encourage you to nurture your own creativity and using your new found spiral technique gain confidence expressing your individual style with the day’s choice of flowers which will be yours to take home with at the end of the day. Working hands on with the flowers and foliage you’ll begin to develop a relationship through scent, shape, texture and colour which will prepare you perfectly for an afternoon of observation and painting, capturing your beautiful blooms on paper.

Enjoy a lovely afternoon drawing and painting the beautiful flowers which you have arranged during the morning session. You will be guided by renowned local artist Annie Turner and will explore the evocative properties of inks, acrylic, and collage in a creative way and free way.

You do not need any prior knowledge or be an expert artist to take part and all materials are provided.
