Welcome to the Adventure Makers in the heart of The Adventure Capital in the Lake District.

Based in the Lyth Valley, Cumbria. Close to the shores of Windermere and just a short drive from Bowness, Windermere, Ambleside and Coniston. Our valley was recently voted one of the 10 Most Beautiful Views in the World by Lonely Planet.

We are spoiled for choice for adventure locations, whether canoeing, kayaking, ghyll scrambling, canyoning, gorge walking, rock climbing, abseiling, caving, potholing, hill walking, mountain walking or enjoying archery in one of the most beautiful valleys in the world.

We love creating tailored adventures to share the very best of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales with you. Whether you are here for a family holiday, looking for a fun team-building event or simply planning a brilliant day out for your staff. We want to find out who you are and plan the perfect adventure for you. You might be looking for some tailored outdoor activities as part of a romantic weekend, looking for a real adventure challenge, want to learn to canoe or kayak of simply want to get away and have fun in the great outdoors. The thing we love most is helping you to create the perfect adventure.

Are you looking for brilliant outdoor activity adventures during your family holiday in the beautiful Lake District?

Perhaps you’d like to learn to canoe or kayak? Whether you’re looking for a BCU course with training and assessment for BCU star awards or you just want to get onto the water either canoeing or kayaking on Windermere, Coniston Water, Ullswater, Derwent Water we can help.

If you’re organising a stag weekend then our ultimate all day canyoning adventure really is, we think, the very best action packed adventure day for groups of friends. Or perhaps you fancy Caving or Potholing in the Yorkshire Dales.

Other high adrenaline adventures include our awesome 50m abseiling challenge, or a ghyll scrambling or gorge walking adventure.
