    Details

    Potholing is the exploring of vertical caves where progress is made by abseiling down underground pitches (potholes) often with water flowing down them also, and exploring and climbing in a unique and fantastic environment. Then using specialist ladders or equipment to get yourself out again. This activity is best suited to intermediate or advanced cavers who wish to push themselves a bit more and take up a higher level of challenge.

    Technical Potholing ranges from £65 - £120 depending on pothole and technical difficulty.

    Most activities take place in the actual locations around the Lake District, although for many activities there is a choice of suitable locations. We do run training and adventure courses from our base, which also has hostel style accommodation, including a drying room and sauna.     From jct 36 on M6 drive 5km along A590 dual carriageway towards Kendal. Turn off onto A591 dual carriageway towards western peninsulas and Barrow in Furness, drive 4km turn right onto the A5074 towards Bowness in Windermere drive 3km and take a left up a single track lane signposted the ROW, if you get to the Lyth valley hotel you have gone 200m to far! Follow lane into small hamlet Row Barn is the second barn on the left with a full length canopy which is white underneath and canoes in the yard!
