On the day, you'll have the chance to have a go at log splitting and many other activities. If you want to take a back seat, watch one of many demonstrations of traditional skills like wood turning, spoon making and timber milling. All these activities cover the harvesting of this sustainable resource, through to the many different end uses of wood.

Ground floor of the house, shop and most of the garden are accessible with a wheelchair. Mainly gravel paths. Recommended route path in the garden. Wheelchair and powered mobility vehicle available. Braille guide and handling items available. Picnic area in the car park. Children's quiz sheets. Sorry no backpacks or baby carriers in the house. Groups and coaches accepted with advanced booking.
