Bat Walk & Talk

Bat Walk & Talk

Join us for a bat walk organised by the Canal & River Trust and Lancaster Canal Regeneration Partnership. This fun evening will commence indoors with a short talk introducing bats, the different UK species and their behaviour, followed by an introductory session on how to use a bat detector to enable us to hear bats. We’ll then take a walk along the canal to Hincaster Tunnel, watching and listening for these fascinating creatures of the night! This event is suitable for the whole family.

Meet at 18:15 at the Kier/Canal & River Trust work site at Stainton Aqueduct just off Viver Lane, Stainton. Please wear warm clothing, sturdy footwear and bring a torch if you have one. Bat detectors will be provided. Biscuits will be provided, please bring your own drink if required.

Booking is essential. Book through Eventbrite with the link below.

In the event of heavy rain or strong winds the event will be postponed.
