Getting Here


Getting here from the all new Carlisle Lake District Airport is easy. Loganair fly from London (Southend), Belfast and Dublin. You can fly to Newcastle and take a 1 hour 30 minute train journey to Carlisle, or travel from Glasgow to Carlisle at a train journey time of 1 hour 10 minutes.

Visitors can also travel from Manchester Airport and take the short drive time of 1 hour 30 minutes to Windermere or 1 hour 40 minutes from Liverpool Airport (train services also available).

Regular trains also run direct from London Euston to Oxenholme in only 2 hours 40 minutes.

Arriving by sea from Ireland? Sail into Liverpool or Cairnryan. From Europe, use ports at Heysham, Newcastle or Hull.
