Walker Ground Manor is truly somewhere special, offering a superbly quiet and relaxing 5 star experience in an idyllic peaceful location. Set in its own grounds with even its own waterfall, only a short walking distance away from the centre of the picturesque village of Hawkshead,

A beautiful traditional English Lake District country house, dating from 1680, retaining many original features; with fine oak floors and panelling, and a rare barley twist oak staircase. Full of charm and character, the 3 spacious ensuite letting rooms are individually furnished and decorated, and offer a high standard of accommodation within a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Breakfast is served in the oak panelled Dining Room.

Situated close to Grizedale Forest, there are many wonderful walks from the door as well as easy access to the Grizedale Forest Cycle trails.

A short drive from Hawkshead means Coniston, The Langdale, Grasmere and Ambleside are within easy reach, and the busy centres of Windermere and Bowness can also be reached by a short ferry ride.

Owners Sue & Richard aim to do everything possible to ensure guests have the most enjoyable stay and look forward to welcoming you.

All make Walker Ground Manor the ideal choice for your stay and for exploring the entire South Lake District.
