Quirky Workshop in Hardwood Carving- Relief or 3D

Quirky Workshop in Hardwood Carving- Relief or 3D

Quirky Workshop in Hardwood Carving- Relief or 3D with Alister Neville at Greystoke Craft Garden

A day with Alister Neville, at your own workstation and set of sharp carving chisels, learn & carve your own design for a decorative plaque, bowl or house sign, or try a simple 3D object such as a bowl or simple shape..

Arriving in a large van weighed down with 3 workbenches Alister brings a full set of wood carving tools for each student, plenty of resources for ideas and inspiration and pieces of hardwood to choose from...sycamore, ash, oak, birch.

Some people opt for house name boards but other for breadboards, cheeseboards, animals (2D or 3D) numbers and sayings. Anything is possible - time allowing - in the day. The workbenches are placed under canopies if it looks like rain. Four people to each bench, plenty of space still and very solid. Alister is on hand to advise and help out and the pictures show the array of wonderful carvings that have been produced by the end of the day.

A materials charge of appox £10 is payable to Alister in cash on the day.
