Details

Learn about glass types, cutting, fusing, stacking and slumping and the all important CoE (Coefficient of Expansion) - vital to understand to ensure the right types of glass are successfully fused together.

You will also learn how to incorporate various inclusions using fruits, stringers, stamps, foils and other fragments, whilst creating your own beautiful, unique decorations and ornaments.

Each student will have enough glass to make around,12 different items (depending on sizes), including decorations, jewellery, coasters, candle holders and plaques.

The Cycle Cafe is a family-run tea garden with quirky opening times.

We open in June July and August to walkers (no public parking available on site) on Friday afternoons 12-6pm, Saturday and Sundays 10-6pm.

Prices

Adult £82, including coffees, teas, home-made cakes, biscuits and lovely 2 course lunch.

We have a ground floor toilet but not wide enough for wheelchair access.

Greystoke Craft Garden (formerly Greystoke Cycle Cafe Tea Garden) is situated just 300yd north of the village green on the edge of the lovely village of Greystoke. The village nestles happily on the fringes of the Lake District National Park, 5 miles west of Penrith and the Eden Valley and 5 miles north of Ullswater. We have only limited parking and ask workshops attendees to enjoy the 300yd flat walking from the free village car park, alongside the racehorses and past the Castle walls. We will send maps etc on booking confirmation. We have 2 parking spaces reserved for those unable to walk this distance, please let us know. Drop off of students or materials is fine.
