A joint walk with the Lake District National Park.

Would you like to see the places that inspired some of Wordsworth’s best loved poetry? Here is the perfect opportunity to experience Ullswater, home to the daffodils that inspired ‘I wandered lonely as a cloud’ in 1802.

Take the steamer boat across Ullswater from Glenridding to the legendary Aira Force waterfall and walk back along the lake shore. This walk is graded easy and is 3.7 miles (6km), which should take approximately 4 hours.

This walk is organised and led by the Lake District National Park in partnership with the Wordsworth Trust. It is free to join and suitable for the whole family – including well-behaved dogs. You will need weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, plenty of water and sunscreen – and don’t forget your camera!

The walk meets at Ullswater Information Centre, Glenridding. For more information, booking and FAQs, please visit the Lake District National Park website.
