EskFest 2018

EskFest 2018

Details

They said it wasn't possible... they said it couldn't be done... they said we were mad....

But mad as we were, against all the odds, Eskfest 2017 was a roaring success!

So, without further ado, we are incredibly proud, delighted and most importantly grateful to announce that the crazy creative Cumbrian collective that is EskFest, will run for the third year in a row in 2018! Once again this unique weekend festival will take place in the breathtaking lakeland valley of Eskdale, in July, just by the Woolpack Inn!

As a not-for-profit organisation, every penny made at EskFest is put back into the festival, enabling us to celebrate more local rising talent every year. All of this would not be possible without the continued support of our festival goers, volunteers, and local artists who provide everything from music to comedy, ale to cuisine and face paints to fire throwing. Thank you all for making EskFest possible!

Directions

EskFest benefits from being held in a beautiful, fairly remote location. The flipside of this is that getting here will need a bit of thought. By car, we strongly suggest avoiding the Hardknott and Wrynose passes and instead recommend routes over Birker Fell and on the A595 coast road. You can get into eskdale via train by arriving into Ravenglass and then taking the famous "la'al Ratty" steam train into Dalegarth station. Please note the Ratty does not operate on sundays. We will have a regular shuttle bus service up and down the valley from the king george IV Inn right down to The Festival Field by the Woolpack Inn. The shuttle bus will cost £1 per journey and does not need to be booked in advance.
