Understanding your Movement and Expression

Understanding your Movement and Expression

Giving you a different perspective of your life from within, Hanna Somatic Movements enable you to recognise where you might be holding yourself tightly in reaction to stresses in life and give you freedom in movement, balance, expression.

Hanna Somatic Education teaches you how to release yourself from continually contracted muscles through very small, simple and slow movements. You provide yourself with "biofeedback", during intervals between stillness and movement so you are able to interpret your internal sensations more accurately to give yourself better posture, less stress and more freedom in movement. You learn seven key Hanna Somatic Movements, experientially, that is, you do not forget them and can use them to improve your comfort, lifestyle and wellbeing for the longer term. Gradually you develop your own practice, integrating your psychological and physiological functioning.
