Ghyll Scrambling - Join other like-minded adventurers on the ultimate Lake District activity!

Situated in the heart of The Lake District National Park is Stickle Gill. A truly unique ghyll that winds its way up the mountain side towards Stickle Tarn, that is nestled between the Langdale Pikes.

Explore natures playground and marvel at the stunning scenery on offer. Take the plunge into crystal clear pools and scramble your way up numerous rocky scrambles and waterfalls, finishing with a optional big roped climb right up the middle of a 12m waterfall.

Our expert guides know the ghyll's intimately and will tailor the day to your group offering up loads of fun challenges along the way. All the challenges, pools and climbs are optional.

This is an easily accessible ghyll with a public footpath running up the entire length. Perfect if you have party members that wish to spectate, but don't want to get their feet wet.

What we provide:
We at Path to Adventure use both the lower and upper sections of the ghyll - at no extra cost. Many other providers only use the busier lower section or charge extra to go further to the upper section, where the fun really starts! In this section you will find ever more brilliant scrambles, challenges, pools and an optional 12m roped climb!!

We also provide the best quality kit and equipment. Our winter thickness Wetsuits and snug neoprene socks are always clean, dry and fitted correctly, enabling you to have a fantastic experience whatever the weather.

We can capture your adventure for you free of charge on a waterproof digital camera.

Age 8 upwards can participate in this open session. If you have younger children or times don't suit please contact us to arrange a private session.
