Details

Developed during a series of children’s workshops with artist Rudy Kanhye, this pop-up cafe will serve a variety of dishes which will be prepared and served by the children who participated in the workshops. On the menu will be a variety of wood-fired pizzas and breads, seasonal soup, rabbit pie, clafoutis apple tarts and more. You'll be hosted by the workshop participants and dine on bespoke tableware which they created during the workshops using a variety of natural dyeing processes and vegetable printing.

During the café The New Mechanics Cook Book will also be launching ‘The New Mechanics Seasonal Recipe Book’ a culmination of ten years of New Mechanics experimental cookery antics using local produce and the principles of good home-cooking.

To pre-book a table, contact Emma Sumner (emma@grizedale.org | 07930 651889).

*All proceeds raised from the café and book launch will go back into the youth programme budget to run further activities for young people residing within Coniston and the Crake Valley.
