Details
The Lakes Distillery is located next to the River Derwent, which flows from Lake Bassenthwaite and overlooked by the magnificent Skiddaw Mountain. The friendly resident heard of alpacas, found near the river, have been so popular that you can book an 'alpaca package' where visitors can walk an alpaca; perfect for family days out. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy a leisurely walk down to the River Derwent, as well as utilise their gorgeous grounds for picnics in the summer months.
The distillery has always sought to embrace, nurture and protect their beautiful surroundings. To do so, they support three local charities and endeavour to produce their spirits in an environmentally friendly way, doing everything possible to reduce their carbon footprint.
