Details
The Bistro at the Distillery aims to embrace the spirit of the Lake District, which is achieved by using regional ingredients where possible and having a key focus on freshness, flavour and simplicity. The Bistro also caters for all pockets, providing handmade cakes from qualified patisserie chefs, steak nights and gin afternoon teas.
The Bistro has a tremendous reputation thanks to menus created by head chef Andrew Beaton, with renowned Michelin star chef Terry Laybourne as a mentor. In the warmer months, guests can dine alfresco, taking in the stunning surroundings of the Cumbrian landscape whilst enjoying a mouth-watering selection from our various menus.
In the last 12 months, the Bistro has served over 70,000 customers and has maintained its 4.5 out of 5 rating on TripAdvisor. The Bistro has been consistently awarded OpenTable’s Best Restaurant in Cumbria since 2015, features in the Michelin Good Food Guides 2016 and 2017 and has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for its 4.5 rating.
