Wedding Ceremony Venue

Storrs Hall

Storrs Hall

Details

Storrs Hall offers one of the most idyllic venues in the Lake District with an extraordinary backdrop for a wedding celebration. The elegant Grade II* listed Georgian Mansion sits within 17 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds on the picturesque shoreline of Lake Windermere looking out on the Lakeland fells beyond.

Whether you dream of a small intimate wedding or an exclusive use house party, Storrs Hall offers you a choice of locations for your civil ceremony. In the summer months, many couples choose to exchange vows outdoor in the romantic Garden Pavilion, with the lake and fells behind them providing a breath-taking backdrop. Others fall in love with the romantic architecture of the hall and wish to get married in the elegant Georgian Drawing Room.

If you would prefer a more intimate occasion we have smaller function rooms, which are licenced for civil ceremonies. All our function rooms have breath-taking views over the grounds and lake.

After your ceremony you can hold your drinks reception beneath the magical rotunda. When sunlight streams through the stained glass windows a wonderful array of reflections light up the hallway beneath. Or maybe you prefer to enjoy drinks and canapés outside on the terrace, where you and your guests can relax before sitting down for a sumptuous wedding breakfast.

A truly unique setting for your wedding in the most beautiful of locations.
