It all starts and finishes at Roose Conservative Club, Rampside Road, Barrow in Furness
A great cycling event, a 5 mile ride (mainly off road footpath) for the kiddies. A 13 mile ride through fabulous Low Furness for the occasional cyclist. A 23 mile ride venturing deeper into Low Furness and for the enthusiast a 50 mile ride circular tour to Coniston with fabulous views all the way. All rides have refreshment post mid way and all riders are invited to have a bacon bun, tea coffee (vegetarian options available) at the finish at Roose Conservative Club. All riders get a certificate and medal commemorating their achievement, see our web site for more information, route maps and directions.

The rides commence from the forecourt of Roose Conservatives Working Men’s Club, which lies close to the roundabout at the junction of Roose Road, Holbeck Road and Rampside Road (A5087). To reach the Club when entering Barrow on the old A590, along Abbey Road, pass the Abbey House Hotel on your left and Furness General Hospital on your right and after approximately 500 metres, turn left into Rating Lane. After 1km, turn left at the mini-roundabout into Flass Lane and continue into Friars Lane as far as Roose Road, (approximately 800 metres on), where you should turn left. Travel along Roose Road for about 600 metres and at the roundabout take the first exit and you will see the entrance to the Club, 50 metres on your right.

Free parking for competitors. Easy to access by public transport. 0.5 miles from Roose Station.

The 50 mile riders can register from 07:00 to 10:00, 23 miles ride from 08:00, 13 mile ride from 08:30 and the 5 mile ride from 10:00.


Age 16 and under: Free
Age 17- 64: £20 – late entry £30
Age 65 and over: £10 – late entry £25
Late entry fees apply after 29th August 2019
