Piano Impressions with Alistair McGowan

Piano Impressions with Alistair McGowan

Details

An evening of wit, insight and wonderful piano music. TV star Alistair McGowan teams up with Ulverstonian Anthony Hewitt in an evening of their favourite piano pieces.

Alistair McGowan is best known for his hit TV show ‘The Big Impression’ but has lately taken on a passion for the piano after the unexpected commercial and critical success of his recent CD ‘The Piano Album' which reached number one in the Specialist Classical Chart, number two in the Classic FM Chart and was John Brunning's 'Album of the Week’.
He forms an irresistible double-act with his mentor, internationally-renowned classical pianist - and Ulverston International Music Festival director - Anthony Hewitt, making his first appearance at The Forum.

Programme to include works by Satie, Debussy, Grieg, Evans, and Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue).
