Details

Barrow BID, with support from Laughing Penguin Events, are proud to bring you a special community stand-up comedy night at The Forum on Friday 4th October. This night is part of Barrow Comedy Fest.

All proceeds from the night will be going to The Well Communities, Barrow & District Disability Association and YouthAbility.

The night will see five of the best comedians on the circuit performing.

Robert White

Runner-up in Britain’s Got Talent 2018, Robert goes from strength to strength, securing a dedicated following of fans and working his way well up the ladder of comedy.

Dave Johns

Dave is a multi award-winning film actor, accomplished stage actor and respected stand-up comic. He is perhaps best known for playing the lead role in Ken Loach's feature film I, Daniel Blake for which he won the 2016 BIFA for Best Actor. He also won Best Actor at the Dublin Film Critics Circle and Best Newcomer at the EMPIRE Awards. Other nominations included Best Actor at the 2016 European Film Awards, Evening Standard British Film Awards, Critics' Circle Awards 2017. I, Daniel Blake won the 2016 Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival and also the award for Outstanding British Film at the 2017 BAFTAs.

Dave has also made guest appearances on much loved TV shows like Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Sam Avery

Dave has been a full-time comedian since 1998 and is widely regarded as one of the finest comperes on the circuit where he regularly performs at The Comedy Store and Frog and Bucket in Manchester.
