The environmentally friendly energy-efficient timber frame dwelling complements its natural environment in every way. As you wander through the garden, listen to the soothing river and then enter; spacious entrance with luxury straight away. Place for walking clobber and double glass doors into the living space, admire the breath-taking views and relax in sumptuous furnishings either by the fire or by the wall of glass. The luxurious kitchen has all you may need wrapped up in granite and here is a dining area, perfect for every occasion. A hallway leads to the bedrooms and bathroom facilities; a king size with full wall of glass overlooking the river and with doors opening into the garden, this stunning bedroom also has a luxurious en-suite monsoon shower room.

The second king size room also boasts the views through the huge window and with en-suite shower room. There are two further beautiful bedrooms, a third king size and a twin with luxurious bathroom including a designer double ended bath and separate monsoon shower facility. There is also a secure shed for storing bikes etc and the striking gardens have been carefully planned out to create a tapestry of textures and colours all year round leading into the River Brathay. As Rosewood by the River gardens are on the riverside please ensure children are supervised at all times.

Skelwith Bridge sits between Ambleside and Great Langdale, offering countless gentle or challenging walks conveniently starting from your door. With 'Chester's By The River', just over the bridge and perfect for breakfast or much more, the Skelwith Bridge Hotel is just a two minute stroll from the house and you also have 'The Drunken Duck' just up the road, which is a firm favorite with all; whether it's a pint of one of the famous 'Barngates' beers or dinner in the restaurant, it really is worth the visit.

The nearby Elterwater hamlet is a delight to behold, and can be reached via a path alongside the tumbling river and within the hamlet is the Britannia Inn - a quintessential Lake District tavern serving great food and real local ale.
